6 Feet Apart Music is the Maryland-based duo of Mike and Tracie. They began making music together in May 2020 and brought their sound to local venues in 2021.
Their performances move naturally among Americana, country, folk, bluegrass and rock. Alongside crowd favorites and creative mashups, Mike and Tracie have built a growing catalog of original music that reflects the same warmth and honesty they bring to the stage.

Everyone wants to give their audience a truly memorable experience when presenting LIVE entertainment. Having worked extensively with organizations and events at many levels—from television and radio to live productions and community events—I understand the difference between simply having performers on a stage and having true LIVE entertainment that connects with an audience.

It is difficult to put into words just how special Mike and Tracie have become to our family! We first discovered them a few years ago and were immediately drawn not only to their musical talent, but to the warmth, energy, and atmosphere they created... the kind that makes you want to stay awhile, sing along, and simply be happy. That feeling resonated with us so much that we asked them to play at our annual summer gathering at our home. It's now three years later, and we can't imagine that night without them... their music carrying through the summer air as everyone talks, laughs, sings along, and eventually stops whatever they are doing just to listen. Some of our very favorite family memories now have Mike and Tracie providing the soundtrack.
And what a soundtrack it is! They are truly exceptional musicians... the vocals and harmonies gorgeous, the sound polished, and the range of music they perform makes for such a FUN time! They move effortlessly from old favorites to newer music, original songs and requests, and they have an instinct for reading the room and knowing exactly what a particular moment calls for.
But what we love most is that they never make it feel like they are at our home to “perform;” instead, they make the entire evening personal. They take requests, change lyrics to include the names of our family and friends, sing Happy Birthday, and genuinely connect with everyone in a way that makes every performance feel completely unique to us. There is something incredibly special about listening to live music that somehow feels as though it was chosen just for you.
As talented as Mike and Tracie are, they are every bit as wonderful as people. They are personable, accommodating, professional, reliable, and genuinely a joy to work with. At this point, they feel like old friends... and when we happen to run into them performing at a local venue, we are every bit as excited to see them as we are to hear them play.
Six Feet Apart has given our family so much more than wonderful live music. They have helped create the atmosphere, the memories, and the magic of some of our favorite nights together. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them and cannot more highly recommend Mike and Tracie for a private event.
